I look in 7 directions,
To the left I see desert dry, but warm,
Begging to be watered
By my mystique and charm,
In exchange for protection from the storm.
I look in 7 ways,
To my right I feel right on the dampest days,
Colored is my life
Fed by these rains;
Rinsed clean from the pain, but grief remains.
I look in 7 directions,
Up, up away I go
To the chill my bones can stand;
Warmth from within, the land.
Running through the birch, the pine, my friends.
I look in 7 ways,
At my feet the earth, She holds,
Keeping true the giving,
To no one She belongs.
Rooted in Her glory, here we stand.
Look behind and see, what’s been gives what’s to be.
Facing forward, feel the pull, to push beyond, fight the lull!
Front to back, the center stays, in the moment, now’s the way.
